Advanced CMM Inspection Capabilities at Summit CNC
When you order parts with precision tolerances or outlined GD&T specifications, you need to know that you’re getting exactly what you’ve paid for.
With our best-in-class benchtop coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from Keyence, Summit CNC can quickly verify your precision tolerances, provide verification documentation, and even generate First Article (FAI) and CMM Inspection reports—all in-house at our Denver machine shop.
Optimized Accuracy with Keyence
Our Keyence XM-5000A enables unparalleled precision in conjunction with maximum efficiency in our fast-paced, quality-driven environment. Because this CMM can be utilized on and off our machines, we’re capable of conducting in-process and post-process inspections that are easy, fast, and accurate.
Keyence XM-5000A specifications:
Maximum measurement length (W x D x H): 500 × 300 × 200 mm (19.69" × 11.81" × 7.87")
Indication error accuracy: ±(7 + 9L/1000) μm*2
Repeatability: ±3 μm
Get Enhanced Measurement Verification Services
At Summit CNC, we always prioritize dimensional verification before, during, and after precision machining. Up until recently, we relied exclusively on these tools:
On-machine Renishaw probes
Mitutoyo digital micrometers and calipers
Interapid dial test indicators
Digital height gauges
Now that we’ve added the Keyence XM-5000A to our precision machine shop’s inspection capabilities, we have another accurate and even more efficient tool for confirming your parts’ dimensional tolerances.
FAI and CMM inspections
If your project necessitates a First Article or CMM Inspection report, Summit CNC can easily provide one. We will generate a high-quality inspection report with photographs of every measurement so you’ll never spin your wheels trying to identify the associated measurements with the specifications on your drawings.
Thanks to the Keyence CMM’s incredible speed and ease of use, you can add an FAI or CMM Inspection report to your order with little to no effect on your project’s lead time.
GD&T verification
Our Keyence XM-5000A has the necessary features for verifying GD&T measurements across the following GD&T categories:
Form: straightness, flatness, circularity, and cylindricity
Orientation: angularity, perpendicularity, and parallelism
Location: position, concentricity, and symmetry
Runout: circular and total
In-house dimensional verification across all projects
Even if you don’t need a formal inspection report, our precision machine shop’s CMM enhances our ability to ensure precision tolerances.
Whether or not you request inspection services, we know how important your tolerance specifications are to the success of your final applications, and we’ll continue to prioritize meeting your specifications with accuracy and efficiency.
The Summit CNC team has always achieved dimensional specifications throughout the precision machining process. Now, with the Keyence XM-5000A CMM, we’re excited to provide our most advanced measuring verification services to date.
