Our Story: Get to Know Summit CNC

As we prepare to publish our inaugural blog posts, we want to take this opportunity to share a bit more about ourselves. We’re Summit CNC a precision prototype and low-volume high-mix CNC machine shop located in Denver, Colorado.

About Summit CNC

From our home base, centrally located in the United States, we machine prototype and low-volume production parts. We machine both standard (+/- 0.127 mm, 0.005”) and precision (down to +/- 0.0127 mm, 0.0002”) tolerance parts primarily for the the aerospace, medical, and defense industries, among others. (And yes, we’re ITAR certified!)

For our CNC machining services, we utilize high-speed, heavy, and rigid DN Solutions (previously Doosan) mills and lathes. All of our machines are equipped with state-of-the-art Schunk vises and chucks. Most notably, the vises on our mills enable us to achieve +/- 0.0001” clamping repeatability; ensure flatness and tolerances are consistent from part to part, regardless of different operators or the clamping consistency of one operator; and provide significantly better rigidity, decreasing vibration and improving surface characteristics on plate work.

Our Background

Jason (left) & Brian Korbelik

Summit CNC was founded by brothers Jason Korbelik and Brian Korbelik. They are both machinists and come from a third-generation manufacturing family.

While growing up, Jason and Brian spent summers working for the family business in the materials science and research laboratory before attending college. Their careers took them in different directions until they eventually found their way back together to settle and start their own precision CNC machine shop in Denver.
